non-binary genders do exist in a capacity beyond “kinda male” or “slightly female,” and I don’t think it’s particularly fair to define them in relation to the binary ~default? also there are people who fall entirely outside any sort of gender spectrum or who occupy multiple parts of it, so

Not sure about the sex slider either - I suspect there are people who would take issue with male and female being considered opposite ends of a spectrum there, too.

There are people who take issue with the entire concept of labeling sex as male or female in the first place, when it’s just as easy to refer to specific body parts.

I agree with that, I think. the gendered language doesn’t bother me personally but HELLO I AM NOT TRANS* so it’s not [at all] my place to make that call.
